To keep sqzd.in family-friendly and prevent abuse, we filter custom short URL codes for profanity and offensive language.

How It Works

When you create a custom short URL, the code you choose is checked against a comprehensive list of inappropriate words and phrases. If a match is found, you'll be asked to choose a different code.

Word List Source

Our filtering uses the open-source bad-words npm package, which maintains a curated list of profanity and offensive terms. You can view the complete word list on the package's repository.

Additional Restrictions

In addition to profanity filtering, certain short codes are reserved for system use (like "admin", "api", "login", etc.) and cannot be used for custom URLs.
