Bookmarklet

The easiest way to shorten URLs. Just drag the button below to your bookmarks bar, then click it on any page to create a short link.

How to install:

  1. Make sure your bookmarks bar is visible (Cmd+Shift+B on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+B on Windows)
  2. Drag the orange button above to your bookmarks bar
  3. Visit any page and click the bookmark to shorten it

Chrome Extension

A toolbar popup for power users. Click the icon to see a form with the current page URL, optionally add a custom short code, and copy your short link.

How to install:

  1. Download and unzip the extension file
  2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
  3. Enable "Developer mode" (toggle in top right)
  4. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder
  5. The sqzd.in icon will appear in your toolbar
